Find Accommodation near 'Vyrnwy Hide (Bird Watching)'

This bird hide is located at Lake Vyrnwy in Mid Wales and situated in the car park overlooking the River Vyrnwy and adjacent to Artisans Cafe which itself is accessible and has an accessible toilet. The cafe serves light meals and snacks and has a gift shop.

Looking out from the bird hide there are several feeding stations that on our researchers visit had a variety of birds feasting upon them.

There is an RSPB shop with a lot of information about the area within a short distance of the hide. This can be accessed via an inclined pathway from the car park.

There are a wide variety of birds to be seen in the area and if you are lucky these could include Osprey, Buzzards, Kestrels and countless other birds.

Comments

I visited the bird hide on a cold day and there were an abundance of birds to be seen, whilst at the lake I was lucky enough to see an Osprey. I also visited the RSPB shop where the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and afterwards I had a nice hot cup of chocolate and a sandwich at the café!by Frank Napper on 02 April 2013
